1. Who this policy covers

DAD/NPG is the business name used by the sole proprietor operating the DAD/NPG website, Father’s Documentation Kit, Learn & References, The Record, and Forms Desk. Privacy and support contact: hello@dadnpg.com. This policy covers those services; external court websites and other services have their own policies.

Effective October 16, 2026. This notice describes current data practices. It does not authorize a new use of previously collected information or replace a separate consent required by law.

2. Information the service handles

  • Website signup information: your email, optional first name, the kit-update consent version, signup time, and a random removal token. A signup is optional: you can download the free kit directly without giving an email address. The landing-page signup database is separate from the signed-in app’s record database. Reading Learn & References does not ask for case files or family details.
  • Account information: the site-specific user identifier, email address, and any name provided through ChatGPT sign-in. We do not receive your ChatGPT password or general conversation history through this app.
  • Records you enter: event titles, dates, times, time zones, locations, people, observations, interpretations, categories, source notes, and the revision history of saved timeline entries.
  • Evidence and drafts: uploaded photos, PDFs and text files; filenames, file types, sizes, upload times, file fingerprints; document text, form answers, case labels, and saved source PDFs. Entries and files may include information about children or other people that you choose to provide.
  • Billing information: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, and billing-period dates. When you start checkout using the consent step, we also store your account reference and email, the exact recurring-billing disclosure and its version and fingerprint, the server-recorded acceptance time, checkout reference, and any payment-verified enrollment confirmation. This billing record is separate from case records. Stripe receives the email address and account reference needed to associate checkout with your account. DAD/NPG may also access transaction and billing information in Stripe for billing support. Full card details are entered on Stripe’s pages, not stored in this app’s record database. When you agree to the policies before a new checkout, we also save the policy version, the exact policy text and agreement wording, a verification fingerprint, your account reference, and the server-recorded acceptance time.
  • Support and technical information: information you send when seeking help, plus technical request and security information handled by hosting, sign-in, and payment providers, such as IP addresses, browser information, timestamps, and error logs.

3. Why information is used

We use information to identify your account, store and display records, preserve timeline revisions, provide attachments and exports, prepare drafts, verify membership, handle billing and support, and protect the service against misuse. We also use information when necessary to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.

We use optional signup information to maintain your requested kit-update subscription and educational updates. Downloading the kit does not require marketing consent. Marketing consent is separate from recurring-billing consent. Billing confirmations, cancellation notices and renewal reminders are service messages, not marketing enrollment. The current landing page saves signups and provides immediate downloads; it does not automatically send a welcome email or run a marketing campaign.

The current application does not send record text, uploaded evidence, or draft contents to an AI model for analysis. It does not send those contents to Stripe. This statement describes the app’s own features; platform providers’ separate processing is governed by their terms and privacy policies.

4. Providers and disclosures

Service providers process information to operate the product. ChatGPT/OpenAI provides the Sites hosting and sign-in platform. Cloudflare infrastructure provides application delivery, database storage, and file storage. Stripe provides hosted checkout, billing, and membership management. Cloudflare email forwarding and Google/Gmail handle support messages sent to hello@dadnpg.com. Do not put sensitive case files in a support email unless specifically needed and requested. Resend handles email connection tests and transactional customer messages: payment-verified enrollment confirmations, cancellation notices, and annual renewal reminders. Resend receives the recipient address and billing message content. These messages exclude case records, evidence, and document contents. Delivery-attempt records and provider acceptance references are saved for operational support.

Account ownership checks restrict app records to the signed-in account. The app does not publish your records or automatically deliver them to a court, lawyer, co-parent, or another customer. Authorized operators and infrastructure providers may access information as needed for support, security, operations, or legal obligations; this is not end-to-end encrypted storage.

We may disclose information when required by lawful process, to protect rights or safety where legally permitted, or in a business transfer with appropriate safeguards and notice where required. A court order or other legal obligation may require preservation or disclosure.

DAD/NPG does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use record contents for targeted advertising. DAD/NPG has added no advertising pixels or audience analytics scripts to these services. Core platform providers have their own data practices for their independent services.

5. Cookies, tracking, and external links

The hosting, sign-in, and payment services may use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, payment processing, and their own services. Blocking required cookies may prevent sign-in or checkout.

California Do Not Track disclosure: DAD/NPG does not change its essential service collection in response to a browser Do Not Track signal. We do not add third-party advertising trackers that collect visitors’ activities over time and across unrelated websites through our service. Hosting, sign-in and payment providers still process technical information for their services under their own policies. Review those providers’ privacy notices for their independent practices and choices.

Following a court link, opening a payment page, or sending email involves a separate service. Those services can collect information under their own policies.

6. Retention, archives, and deletion

Saved records remain associated with your account unless removed through an available deletion feature or a verified deletion request, subject to lawful retention needs. The app currently has no automatic age-based purge of timeline records.

Optional kit-update signup records are kept until removed or no longer needed for the requested updates, subject to lawful retention requirements. After a new signup, the confirmation screen offers removal during that visit. Later, email hello@dadnpg.com from the subscribed address to unsubscribe or request deletion. If an update email is sent, use its unsubscribe option as well. We may keep the minimum suppression information needed to honor an opt-out.

Archiving an event is not deletion. Archived events, attachments, and revision history remain stored. Editing an event retains earlier saved versions. You can delete individual evidence attachments and Forms Desk drafts in the app. To request deletion of timeline history or all account-associated content, email hello@dadnpg.com from your account email.

Cancelling a paid membership does not itself delete records. Saved Forms Desk drafts remain available to view, export, or delete while the service and your account remain available; creating and editing paid drafts requires an active membership.

Deletion from the active app does not erase copies you exported or shared, or information retained by Stripe and other providers under their own requirements. Backup, security, accounting, dispute, or legally preserved records may remain where necessary. We do not promise immediate erasure from every provider system.

We retain verification of recurring-billing consent for at least three years after consent, or one year after the subscription contract ends, whichever is longer. Related policy-acceptance and payment records may be retained with it for lawful accounting, legal, fraud-prevention and dispute purposes. These records are kept separately from case content and are not automatically erased when a membership ends. Other data is reviewed for removal when no longer needed; no automatic time-based purge or fixed provider-backup deletion schedule is represented here.

7. Access, correction, exports, and requests

Use the timeline editor to correct entries and its CSV, JSON, print, and attachment-download tools to export your records. Download original attachments separately; timeline exports do not embed all original file bytes. Forms Desk supports document and PDF exports.

For access, deletion, correction, unsubscribe requests, or other applicable privacy rights, contact hello@dadnpg.com. Identify whether the request concerns a kit-update signup, an app account, or both. We verify ownership before disclosing or removing information and may request limited additional details. We respond within the time required by applicable law, explain any lawful retention exception where permitted, and do not require unnecessary family documents to verify a request. Billing consent and policy-acceptance records may be retained separately from deleted case content.

Do not send your password, full payment card details, or unnecessary case documents in a support request. A request concerning DAD/NPG data does not close your ChatGPT or Stripe/Link account.

8. Children, sensitive content, and security

The service is intended for adults aged 18 or older, not for children to create accounts. Adult users may enter parenting-related information about children. Use initials and include only information needed for your record. Avoid unnecessary Social Security numbers, complete birth dates, account numbers, medical details, and other sensitive identifiers. Upload only material you are entitled to store.

The service uses HTTPS and server-side ownership checks for saved records and files. No system guarantees perfect security or availability. Protect your sign-in account, review downloads before sharing, and maintain independent copies of important documents. Contact hello@dadnpg.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Providers may process information in countries other than your own. DAD/NPG does not promise that all data stays in a particular state or country.

9. Changes and contact

We will post changes with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated through the service or account email as appropriate and required. Information will not be used for a materially different purpose without any notice or consent required by law. Contact hello@dadnpg.com with questions or concerns.
